There's a lot more to consider than just price and colour.

Not all carpet is created equal.

But how can you tell the difference between a superior quality carpet and a low quality imitation? The answer is 'not easily'. The real quality of a carpet depends on things not readily visible to a carpet purchaser. Things like the fibre quality, the yarn spinning and processing techniques employed, the structure of the carpet pile and its backing are all crucial. These will dictate the resilience of the pile, the carpet's resistance to soiling, rucking and stretching and, very importantly, its cleanability. In other words, how your carpet investment will look after a year or two of wear.

The best way to be sure of purchasing the best quality carpet is to simply purchase Cavalier Bremworth.

Because our material specifications and manufacturing processes are designed to produce the best quality product rather than the lowest cost.

Carpet Types and Styles?

Texture

Texture is the hottest story in interior design. The beauty of carpet is that it adds textural variety to a room while retaining the softness, warmth and comfort of wool. And the best news is that with Cavalier Bremworth, there are now more textures for you to pick from than ever. Choosing which carpet texture will best suit your lifestyle and needs is one of the first decisions you should make. The most obvious textural difference in carpet is between loop pile and cut pile.

Loop Pile

A loop pile carpet is formed from loops of yarn standing upright. Loop pile carpets wear well and don't show footprints. Loop pile carpets can be 'level', where all the loops are of a uniform height, or 'textured' where the loops are designed to be at different heights. Thus a variety of effects can be achieved, from the casual look of the Natural Twill Range to the rustic charm of the Sisals and textured loop piles.

Cut Pile

Cut pile carpets are achieved by cutting the tops of the loops formed during the manufacturing process so that the yarn stands upright. A cut pile carpet generally has a more luxuriant look and feel than other styles of carpet.

Cut piles may however track (show footstep imprints) or shade (the appearance of irregular light and dark areas). This is usually more apparent in a plush pile carpet. Hardtwists, with their tight twist set in each tuft, do not have such an obvious pile direction, which means the effects of tracking and shading are less noticeable, especially in the chunkier hardtwist products.

Cavalier Bremworth offers you a wide variety of cut-pile carpets which differ in the twist and thickness of the yarn used and the structure of the carpet. For example, a chunky hardtwist such as Clumberland Range creates a casual, comfortable atmosphere, while a fine hardtwist such as Autum Fare Range offers a more tailored, structured look.
