Salvo - About the Artist.
Born 1944 in Pacentro, Italy. Immigrated to Australia in 1952. Living in Griffith, NSW. Salvo works in various media; oils, watercolour, pastels, fabric painting, pen & ink, drawing, in a tonal impressionist style. Study under Lance McNeil. Salvo is represented in many private collections. Influenced by the old masters approach to design and painting technique of “Quirre e Scorro”.
“The Bread Of Life” was a commissioned work by a local family for an oils painting depiction of the “Last Supper”. Taking over 3 years to complete, finished in 1996. This is the first, limited Edition Print run of Salvo’s work.
NB: The photos shown are as best as I can do... they don't really do the print much justice. Looks fantastic in really life, mounted and framed on the wall!
